Last Weekends Family Day at Kiewitt

Nick's company had a family day last weekend that we went to and had a really good time. They had lunch, games for the kids, ice cream, raffles, and even gave a tour of the plant. I was excited to get to see where Nick goes off to everyday. And everyone he works with is SO nice!! These pictures were actually taken by Carol, who works in the office. She is super sweet to us and Mr. Carson.

MONKEY MAN

Our little monkey man sure is getting to be a little stinker. :) In the first picture he is hiding under the fort with daddy....he loves to hide! The next picture is where I caught him giving Jonesie a hard time this morning. Poor Joneser was just sleeping in until Mr. Carson came along. But, you know, I think that dog secretly LOVES it. And that last picture is him jumping from his chair to the big chair. He could do this ALL day!!!!

Date Night

Nick and I FINALLY found a babysitter, so we could go out every now and then. She is wonderful! Her name is Elizabeth and she is from Newburgh. It was too cute when we came home last night, she was knitting! :)

We went to the Edgewater Grill and had dinner and listened to the entertainer sing. You could make request, but it seemed every song we asked he didn't know. Figures! But, he was really good. Nick and I felt like we were on the beach somewhere. Later that night we went with some friends to a place called, Hootie Hoots....not so relaxing. But, had fun just the same.

"Im Not Listening"

Here is our "new" thing. He likes to put his fingers in his ears and pretend he doesn't hear anything. He starts laughing when I act like I'm saying his name, but no sounds are coming out.

Last night Nick and I went out and got a babysitter. When we got home she had told us about him hiding. Which he LOVES to do. I thought I had told her, but I guess I forgot. Anyway, she was cooking his dinner and turned around and he was gone. She looked everywhere!! Finally she looked in his closet again, and there he was ALL the way in the back with this smile on his face. He never said a word! I have a feeling one day this could be a problem. David & Colleen, will read this and say this reminds them of the time Miriah hid and everyone was panicked!!! You know, there are a lot of similarities with Carson Wynn and his Aunt Miriah. :)

BTW, we want everyone out West to know we will be there for a week starting July 20th! We can't wait to see you guys!!!

Carson was cracking me up the other day. I was trying to take his picture and before I could press the button he was squinting. :) He is so silly.

Baseball Season

Nick has joined his company baseball team here in Evansville. So far 0-2, but they have another game this wednesday. So, maybe they can do better. But, they really are a good team, they just have way too many players. But, its something fun to do. Carson had a good time watching his Daddy. It was hard for him to see Nick out there and him not being able to go to him. He also HATED to see Nick play catch with someone other than him. :)

Carson Update

Mr. Carson is doing very well. He has been talking up a storm lately. Alot of you can't understand, but he really thinks he's have a conversation you with you. It's too cute. He says: No, Okay, Cartoooooons, Pooh, Bye, our names, Up, Open, One, and more.

He LOVES to be outside. He likes to swim, and he really loves to take rides with papa on his Mule. He can't get enough of it. As soon as dad has taken him on a ride Carson says "Vroom Vroom" again and is headed for the mule. :)

Elnora

NIKALI WALKING ON WATER :)


As most of you know Indiana has been hit with floods this past week. Nick and I tried to go home through 57/Elnora back to Newburgh last weekend and this is what we found. The water goes on forever! It was still across the road yesterday and it seems like it will continue to be closed for a long time due to the integrity of the road. The area around Princeton still had high water too. It's crazy how many people have been affected by this.
